Free diabetes screening
Free screening campaigns in Goma and in the health zones of eastern DRC. In 2024, more than 4,579 people were screened by ADIC teams.
Our activities
From free screening to the training of health workers, ADIC works on all fronts so that diabetes can be lived with dignity.
Access to insulin and monitoring supplies
Distribution of insulin, blood glucose meters and test strips. Thanks to partners and a reliable cold chain, ADIC has no stock-outs.
Therapeutic education and awareness
Workshops on nutrition, self-monitoring and daily life with diabetes, weekly radio programmes and community awareness campaigns.
Psychological support and peer groups
Listening, counselling and peer support groups to break isolation, fight stigma and come to terms with the disease.
Training of health workers
Training of health staff in the health zones of North Kivu, South Kivu and Maniema to improve diabetes care.
Socio-professional integration of young people
Vocational training (mechanics, commerce…), school support and specific care, including eye care, for young patients.
